Birmingham has been celebrating after being announced the official host of the 2022 Commonwealth games. The campaign by the city council focused around Birmingham being the ‘heart of the UK’ and ‘soul of the Commonwealth’.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Birmingham to showcase what they have on offer in the city, as well as the rest of the Midlands. The spotlight being shone on the West Midlands will create an incredible platform for marketing the area as a destination.

Destination videos are a great way of capturing the atmosphere and spirit of a location, and will be a valuable tool for promoting the city in the run up to the event. We’ve previously created destination videos for companies such as Enjoy Staffordshire and Calais Tourism.

Not only will the Commonwealth Games create destination video opportunities for local film companies, but also the chance to work as a local film crew for different companies during the 11-day festival.
