A Successful Premiere for Winton Children Film

Winton From Prague To Penkhull With Love

Sharing the inspirational stories of others is both a privilege and a great responsibility. Producing the documentary, Winton: From Prague to Penkhull with Love, has been an
extremely satisfying journey for everyone at Inspired.

We are passionate believers that history and heritage can be used to make sense of the present and shape the future for the better and this project epitomised this ethos. We hope the film brings a personal perspective to the current plight of refugees across the globe. Although the story of Charles, Hugo, Ruth, Asaf and the other children separated from their families and sent 1500km away to find safe haven from war is over 70 years old, it is impossible not to see its continued relevance.

The future achievements of these “children” as they grew and had families of their own, are directly related to the open arms with which they were welcomed to their new home when they were at their most vulnerable. Inspired are proud to be active members of the Stoke-on-Trent community and advocates for what can be achieved here and this story is testimony to what can happen when people come together.

This film was a pleasure to make and a story we are very proud to have chosen to share.

We were delighted to see so many people attend the Premiere at Cineworld in May and it turned into quite an emotional event. We are happy to say the film is now available on our YouTube channel and also there is a special showing at Stoke Film Theatre on Wednesday 28th June at 7.30 pm.
